Worried about first finals

Post by thedude221 » Tue Nov 01, 2011 12:10 am

So I have my first finals in 5 weeks and while I am lucky in that I only have to two because I go to U of C I still find the idea that I am going to have to write 15 pages in 3 hours in Elements of the Law and in Civil Procedure I will have 8 hours to write 7 pages quite terrifying. I was wondering if it was a common exam technique to have a checklist of basically everything you studied and then try to incorporate as many of the relevant portions into your exam as possible? Is it a good idea to basically just do that in conjunction with IRAC for every given section? I know this questions might be stupid but Im just trying to get my head around this thing.

I kinda can't relate with the specifics of your post, but I can tell you that I am generally beginning to worry about finals. I feel that it's basically crunch time -- meaning time to start making outlines, starting committing shit to memory, and time to hone test writing skills.

Those pages will be easier to write during crunchtime than you think. Although Chicago is where fun goes to die, space and time could be distorted and it could take even longer to write.

I just wrote 10 pages for a civ pro midterm in 1.5 hours, so I am a little confused about the 7 pages in 8 hours thing.
Probably a word or page limit.

I understand your concern. I feel most prepared for Torts and Criminal Law; however, I feel uneasy about Contracts and Civ Pro. I really do not know what to outline in those last two classes. In Civ Pro, if I outline, I feel like I will replicate my FRCP book. We didn't cover jurisdiction and etc this semester, only all the rules... AND, LRW is kicking my ass because it is taking all of my time.
