ended up getting a 2nd wind after posting that, worked for 3 straight hours after posting, feel good about the amount of work I accomplished in that time. 3:30 in the morning now, so I should probably crash.crossarmant wrote:I've been in the same boat. Read for about 4 hours today, then spent the rest pretending like I was reviewing Property; had my reading/class notes open, outline open, yet just fiddled around online or in my room. Tomorrow I'm setting my alarm early: bike/reading in the AM, reading out in the sun for about 4 hours or so, gym, then library for some more reviewing. I'm thinking my first practice test will be Saturday (First final Wednesday).dabomb75 wrote:awfully quiet in here....either that means everyone else is being super productive and off TLS, or out drinking and having fun. Neither one of those options would make me happy, since I'm doing neither by sitting trying to study but being very unproductive. And I just drank 2 cups of coffee so no going to sleep anytime soon.
Sounds like you have a fun day ahead of you btw

Re: 1L Exam Prep and Motivation Thread
This semester has been very "easy" for me. I'm not sure if it is because I had less work, learned how to read/understand cases better, worked more (although it doesnt seem that way), or a combination of all these things, but Im just kinda sitting around now just waiting for my first final next Friday (Civ Pro II).
Honestly, I dont feel "ready" yet, but Im not in the same beast mode that I was in last semester. I spent the last 3 hours practicing class action and Joinder multiple choice and short answer questions, but I did them like half assed. Maybe Im just tired because I havent been sleeping enough in the last 2 weeks.
I think I also dont feel an impending sense of doom because Ive realized that most of the people in my section are retarded and still dont know how to write a law school exam. I guess Im feeling overconfident. Maybe this undeserved overconfidence will bite me in the ass when my grades come back. But I guess Im just thinking that everything will click for me when I'll need it too.

I think I'm going to start studying for exams tonight. A whole 13 days before I started any review/prep for 4/5 of my exams last semester (left myself 2 days for each ) , and no freakin severe carpal tunnel on 1.5 wrists.
Been putting this off for the last 3 weeks.

I just looked at a con law practice test answer.. my head just exploded. I had no idea someone could possibly write so much about such a narrow issue. I would have never thought about any of this. oops.

Re: 1L Exam Prep and Motivation Thread
Today has been met with middling productivity. 1 hour of Property review while on the exercise bike, 4 hours of ConLaw studying on the Riverfront (sunburnt as hell). When I got home, my Georgetown transfer checker updated and it's been this wild ride of emotional distress and wild conjecture as to the significance of it. It's completely killed my focus, dammit. At least I've kept up with exercise, sobriety, and eating right this week

Crim law is probably the easiest course ever since its so elemental. Not hard at all to memorize or apply. Wait til you take crim pro where you have exceptions to the exception of the exception.

Ahh, that's what I'm doing right now, because my school does crim pro 1L instead of crim law.
sigh.

Spent today pre-writing con law exam. So long as she doesn't change what she's always done, I am a third of the way done. Yeah boi.

Geez, I didn't mean it in this way at all. Was more trying to tell Guch not to worry because it really isn't as bad as it seems.Eugenie Danglars wrote:I found your high horse. She was literally two tables down at the coffee shop I was at. Some of my friends got a picture with her, but I chickened out and just stared like a fool.ilovesf wrote:WHAT? story!akili wrote:Productivity was low today, but I met Taylor Swift so I'm going to call it an overall win
