2L. No motivation, Part II: Recipe for Success

What does the unmotivated 2L need to do to bat B's avoid those dreaded C's and maintain their offer? If you can spare a minute from studying watching football, post your tips here.

Wish I could but I am skipping multiple readings for tomorrow to watch football right now.

How about that Tim Tebow!

I do not think employers will "no offer you" if you get a bad grade, even a C. The quality of your summer work will be the determinative factor. Just don't get all C's.

My motivation came in the form of a midterm that I was unprepared for. Now I'm back to the grind.

if you dont get cracking now, you will be screwed. Its november...if you didnt do crap all semester [like me], its time to play catch up. as each successive week passes, we might as well cut half a letter grade off of our potential grade...

How bad is bad? If I'm reading all the assignments, and going to every class, putting decent effort into taking notes during lecture, will I be okay? This is nothing compared to the 24/7 consumption during 1L where I was doing E&E's plus hornbooks with each subject, and starting practice exam/hypos in late October.

I haven't started outlines in any of my classes and I feel behind. Is this just residual effects from 1L?

I know plenty of 3L's who didn't outline at all as 2Ls. You are fine. I have skipped a ton of reading and some class, and am just going to cram all the readings in november as well as hornbooks and hope for some B's!!!

Semi-lost in tax and super lost in civ pro 2. Other classes I can cruise through by reading cases or reading the casebook supplements. Also have a 14-page paper that I haven't even started outlining for due soon. Yeah...I'm kinda screwed.
