1L - about 3-6 hrs a day.
2L - 0-1 hours until mid october ; 3-4 from mid october to finals (will report back on if this works)
i just shoot for median
edit - reading = studying

Re: Just Curious
First of all, there is a big difference between reading for the next day and "studying". I read 3-4 hours a day. Closer to finals, I add in more reviewing of notes, outlining, etc. Averaged over the semester I'd say it's 5-6 hours a day. However, in reality, it's 3-4 the first half and 7-8 in the weeks before finals.

Re: Just Curious
Reading = studying in numbers provided below. Outside of reading, I did almost no studying till the last month of the semester (unless midterms and excluding LRW) as a 1L.
1L First Semester
4 or so hours a day till month before finals.
6 or more hours a day during the last month.
10 or more hours a day the last week or two before finals.
1L Second Semester
2-4 hours a day till month before finals.
4-6 hours a day during the last month.
10 or more hours a day (often 12+) the last week or two before finals.
T2 School last year. Top 1% after first semester. Top 2% after second semester.
2L
2 or so hours a day of reading thus far. Limited to no studying. Will pick up sometime next month.
Tons of outside class work (e.g. law review, etc). Working just about as hard as the first semester of my 1L, just a lot less work directly related to my classes.
