Giving gunning lessons

Post by kahechsof » Sun Sep 18, 2011 4:25 pm

What do you think of this?
Airlines have traditionally given free standby tickets to airline employees, their spouses, and parents.
These are not taxed as per 26 USC 132, which specifically includes parents of airline employees.

Well, I was sitting next to this fellow today on JetBlue, who was flying on one of these passes, who told me that JetBlue gives the pass to employees, parents, and any one other chosen person. (presumably intended to make it fair for their employees who aren't married).
Now, the pass which is given to a non-spouse, is presumably taxable. But they aren't sending a 1099.
That's our tax money they're ripping off.

If you want gunning lessons, I charge $100/hour. I guarantee to teach you how to alienate classmates and coworkers and internet posters.

Sounds awesome! Please send me your paperwork with the above mentioned guarantee so that I may gun my heart out.
