MPRE-- Scaled score of 50!?!?!
so, a very curious thing happened when i pulled up my score results today . . . scaled score = 50. what could have possibly happened? i'm sure i was answering the questions in the proper rows and columns, although i suppose there is the possibility that i accidentally skipped one and didn't notice. even still, shouldn't i have gotten a 51? a 52? anything, but the lowest possible score?
a friend suggested maybe the "machine" didn't recognize my pencil type that i used. has anyone ever heard of this happening? does anyone know what happens when you ask for a recheck of your score?
thanks in advance for any thoughts and advice.

I scaled 62 I am also not sure what went wrong. Much as I never prepared, I did not expect to flunk this bad.

yeah, 62 is low, but at least it is a score! 50 does not even appear to be a valid score, as it is the lowest possible score that NCBE can give. i take this to mean that i got every single question wrong or none of my answers registered for some reason.jubilan wrote:I scaled 62 I am also not sure what went wrong. i spent a good amount of time prepping and was testing between 70-75% on practice tests, so i'm having a very hard time believing i got every question wrong.
maybe this is not how it is scored? maybe a scaled score of 50 can mean 40/50 wrong?

Seems like you may have to request a recheck in writing?

I did, but they were really crappy, old ones that I found laying around the house. Do No. 2 pencils "go bad"?8ballistic wrote:Did you use a #2 pencil?

You need to request a manual re-check. you will have to pay the fee. You have 3 months post initial test date.
