2L Supplements - Admin, Corp, Evidence

Post by quiver » Fri Sep 02, 2011 2:03 pm

Took supplement advice from people in this forum throughout 1L and it worked out pretty well. So anybody have any good supplement suggestions for:

Administrative Law (Strauss, Rakoff, Farina, Metzger casebook)
Corporations (Eisenberg and Cox casebook)
Evidence (Prater, Capra, Saltzburg, Arguello casebook)

Not sure if the casebooks matter but I threw them in there anyway.

With Evidence, I'd go with Evidence by Mauet (he's my professor at U of A) OR the Examples and Explanations. Both are good.

For evidence the Black Letter Outline on Evidence (Black Letter Outlines)
By C. B. Mueller, Laird C. Kirkpatrick is a good resource. Here are some old exams and
answers

I used the E&E for evidence. It was pretty good overall, but not amazing.

Thanks for the suggestions.
Did you actually use this one? From the description it just seems to be an intro to admin law for foreign lawyers.

Would you suggest the E&E then or should I look for something better?

As to evidence, it depends on what you want. To understand the rules, E&E is good but not for exam prep. For exam prep use Siegles.
Here is a fairly short evidence outline that may help

Awesome, thanks.

Anyone have any opinions on supplements for Corporations? Or any other opinions on Admin and Evidence?

Goode's audio cd is pretty great for evidence. It does a great job explaining overlap between some of the rules.

Also another second year here, so take it for what it worth. I heard the E&E for corporation and evidence are good.

Evidence - used E&E and Siegels. Received A.
Admin - Inside Admin Law: What Matters And Why by Beermann. Cannot recommend highly enough. Saved my ass. Got an A solely because of this book.

For corporations, grab the Emanuel's. I took corporations over the summer, had my final a week ago. Found the casebook useless and did not use it. Used Emanuel's a week before the exam and crushed it.

Rather than starting a new thread, what about estates and trusts? Anything particularly noteworthy?
