Purchase the recommended books for 1L? (NOT FOR PREP)

Post by JackMcCoy » Thu Aug 11, 2011 4:43 pm

I tried a simple search, with little luck. Sorry if this is a repeated topic.

Is it worth purchasing a teacher's recommended readings (on the school's booklist) in addition to the required readings?

Note: I am not interested in additional readings unless it will typically benefit my ability to issue-spot or excel on an exam, or my understanding to help in an exam situation.

I understand this answer probably varies school to school and class to class, but generally, should I purchase some now, or wait?
Classes: Civ Pro, Torts, Contracts

I ask now, rather that just waiting and trying to locate them later, because amazon shows a limited stock and sometimes 1-3 week ship dates on several of these books.

Also, should I go ahead and purchase the E&E or Hornbooks now?

Thanks for your help.
