Listing (exact?) Class Percentile on resume
I know the first step is to check with your CDO, but am looking for a TLS idea/consensus. fyi - I am making this percentile up, there is no way I have this lol
Class Rank - 21.8%
Class Rank - 21.8%

Re: Listing (exact?) Class Percentile on resume
This is what I do (and this could be completely off base):
Class Rank: XX/XXX (Top XX%)
Say, hypothetically: 33/151, Top 22%--that way, employers can see your actual rank and do the math themselves if they want to be precise.

Nearest whole number that you are sure of, so you put top 22%

thx for the responses thus far. would it be really that weird/awkward if top 21.8% is listed on the resume?

Not really- It just makes you look like someone who thinks there is a significant difference between the numbers 21.8 and 22.0. In polite circles, this kind of person is sometimes described as a "savant".futurelawyer413 wrote:thx for the responses thus far. would it be really that weird/awkward if top 21.8% is listed on the resume?
Seriously though, unless you're maybe top 15% or below, I feel like the "XX/XXX" format looks nicer.

Likely irrelevant, but any thoughts on putting "XX/XXX (top X%)" versus "ranked X out of XXX students (top X%)"?
