Is USPTO experience a good/bad thing to law firms?

Post by desperate4lawschool » Wed Apr 20, 2011 12:12 pm

I hear conflicting stories about law firms hiring patent examiners and/or students with USPTO experience. Som e say it's okay if you don't stay longer than 3 years, some say it's the best thing, some say you should forgo it altogether. Can anyone elaborate? Is it actually a good thing or bad thing?
