Study Music
I know a lot of people study in quiet. I personally like to study with some music. I like a lot of stuff, but I have been listening to Gorrilaz lately for chill listening during studying, but I think I"m going to be listening to this guy more often.

Anyone else got any good music suggestions?

I can't study to anything with words in it, because I end up concentrating on the lyrics.

+1
Classical all the way. Besides, classical music helps open neural pathways.

Nice, all of that is great. Burial is particularly amazing. Posting some Zomby (sounding an awful lot like Burial). The Stig wrote:I'm a fan of Ratatat for instrumental stuff: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WW8VmSfY ... re=related174 wrote:This. I do't know his discography too well, the only album I know of is "Where Were You in '92?" which is an incredible album if you like old-school hardcore and early jungle. Here's "Float." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9FriS8EV ... re=relatedThe Stig wrote: oh that is superb! thanks for sharing! i really gig that downtempo dnb burial/zomby style... any other EPs/albums of his that I should listen to?
He has a few really pretty tracks scattered across various EPs.
Digital Fauna is a favorite.

Classical music, or jazz.

I can't use headphones though... it needs to be background noise otherwise I'm too distracted and end up reading in rhythm to the music/not remembering what I read.

Re: Study Music
... Judge me, but I find club remixes to be most helpful with my productivity. e.g. I listened to Imogen Heap's Hide & Seek Roksonix Dubstep Remix on repeat for like half an hour while I worked on more job applications. A few days before that, I was rocking out to Glee's Thriller/Heads Will Roll. But usually, because I can never think of / find enough of these kinds of songs to make a decent playlist, I just do whatever is on my iPod.

Trance. Lots, and lots, of trance. But only when outlining because it's a rote organizational skill. Otherwise, those squishy earplugs for complete silence.

+1 for no-lyrics generally.
I don't like classical music, so I go with Spanish guitar music and zydeco music.

I for the most part don't like trance, but Tiestos club life podcast helps me zone in like nothing else. Its also free, and you can download a new one every week from Itunes. I would highly suggest it if you like trance or like the feeling of being zoned in to something.
