Supplements for UCC Article 2 and 9

Post by stinger35 » Tue Jan 25, 2011 5:56 pm

The actual name of the class is Sales and Secured Financing, rather than Secured Transactions. We focus on Article 2 and 9 through the lens of an automobile transaction.

Just wondering what supplements people would recommend for such a course.

Appreciated.

Sorry stinger - not to derail, but if anyone also has ideas/suggestions about secured transactions supps...I'd be grateful.

Best thing I found was a book called "ABCs of the UCC: Article 9" and "ABCs of the UCC: Article 2." They have them on Amazon and I thought they were great with examples of the law and application. Just make sure to get the correct version of the Article 2 book depending on whether you need the revised version or not. Good luck with your class.

Must have: Principles of Secured Transactions, by White and Summers. Best book hands down for Article 9 and very accessible.

Ya I have this and it's pretty helpful. Only problem is that prof jumps all around it. I bought the E&E (when I bought books, non-returnable, oh well), so hopefully that will be helpful.
