SDNY/EDNY USAO 1L Internship Civil vs. Criminal Forum

So I'll be applying to both USAOs for summer internships, and I am torn as to which division to apply to at each. I plan as of now on doing corporate/securities law after school. I have no interest in ever practicing criminal law, but within the Crim division at the USAO the Business and Securities Fraud subdivision is included. This interests me greatly, but other crim units are not exactly my primary interest. So I was thinking Civil may be better, because it encompasses more fields of law in general and maybe I would learn more. I am unsure which would be a better fit (not sure why you cannot apply to both divisions). Anybody giving any insight or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
