1L here. Waiting for grades sucks, but it is not half as bad as waiting for law school admissions as an 0L.

If by not half as bad you actually mean infinitely worse, then I agree. You can always retake the LSAT and reapply. This is do or die.random5483 wrote:1L here. Waiting for grades sucks, but it is not half as bad as waiting for law school admissions as an 0L.

Re: the waiting is the hardest part
For me LSAT was def worse than waiting for grades (this is the first and only time thus far I have waited for law school grades though). But it def majorly sucks, and I can understand especially for someone who was counting on a possible LSAT retake this could be way worse (or for someone who had a tight practice score range for LSAT so that there could be a sense of relative confidence about what what was scored- my practices ranged more than 10 points even from test-to-test after a lot of practice).

The worst for me is waiting for exam time to come around. After that I reason that it's out of my hands and forget about it all.

Waiting for grades is MUCH worse. Worst case with LSAT is you retake. Worst case with admissions is you reapply or don't go.
I've got 75K riding on this shit and I can't tell if I did V5 well or blowing partners to get a paralegal in shit law bad.

Ditto. Minus the part about doing well. Mostly dying to see just how epically I failed.Desert Fox wrote:Waiting for grades is MUCH worse. Worst case with LSAT is you retake. Worst case with admissions is you reapply or don't go.

Why? You've taken enough PT's to know roughly how well you'd do, and you can retake.Tangerine Gleam wrote:I thought LSAT waiting was muuuuuuuch worse.
If I knew I'd be getting A-'s or A's I wouldn't sweat the L-school grades either. But It's more like, I'm sure I got B- to A.
And B- means 230K in debt with no job pwned.

Re: the waiting is the hardest part
The LSAT was way more life-determinative for me. There was one school I really, really wanted to get into, and really wanted to get a scholarship to, and I knew the only chance I had was if I killed the LSAT on the first try (September), when it would be early enough in the cycle to still get in despite my >25% GPA.
Grades are obviously very life-determinative as well, but our hippie grading system softens the blow.

no tom petty reference?
there is an easy way to alleviate the waiting pain. just check your webadvisor about 2980234 times a day. grades are release faster if you do this. scientific fact.

I figure someone will tell me and there is no need to obsessively check.joobacca wrote:no tom petty reference?
