I still think that's relatively safe because I don't believe the socially questionable jet black suit is actually something you can easily buy. Most suit shops, I imagine, would sell you a dark charcoal suit if you walked in asking for adult supervision and "a black suit for an interview." Still, Illinois career services sounds dumb.

Grades were due on the 15th. Scale of 1-10, how angry do I get to be at my old-as-fuck-former-dean-of-the-school prof. who has still yet to turn in grades.

Sub-question, those at my school wanting to transfer up, how pissed do they get to be?

Less angry than I get to be at my prof who was supposed to have grades in on the 8th.

hey when do class ranks usually come out? Obviously it's different at every school, so let me rephrase that, we've had all our grades for over a week now, how long did people wait before they got rankings after final grades all came out?

About 10 days went past between all grades being in and class ranks going out at my school.

We saw the cutoff GPA/ranks about an hour or 2 after we got our grades. They don't rank each person, but just give us a few of the cutoffs.

I should probably follow up this this thread, especially since my last posts had been doom n gloom.. turns out my last two grades were better than expected, but I still had a significant drop from 1st to 2nd semester. Grades for year:

Fall: B (3 credits); A (4 credit); A (4 credit); A (1 credit)
Spring B (2 credit); B (3 credit); B (3 credit); A (4 credit); A (3 credit).

We have whole letter grades only. Puts me right about the top 25% mark. My transfer goals will not likely be met, but at least I'll have some fighting chance at OCI from what I understand...

Don't feel like searching through your posts...what range school are you at?

Thats understandable. I remember seeing my grades and getting very angry and upset. I then calmed down and got to the "acceptance" stage...and then rankings came out and I realized my GPA was a much higher rank than I assumed it would be, so the mood changed to happiness. Craziest emotional rollercoaster ever. I first looked at my GPA and said, "guess my transfer chances and biglaw chances are shot". And 2 hrs later, I looked at the exact same number and said, "well, now I should have a solid shot at transfer, and theres no biglaw firm at OCI out of my reach". Very odd indeed.

Hey everyone,

I feel like it's too weird to post my grades (now that I finally have them all) but I just wanted to thank everyone that provided help, advice, and encouragement as the year went along. Having the extra support group is always an intangible boost. Hope everyone's summer positions and fall job searches go well -- I'm sure I'll be around the employment forums.

This is insane, this waiting waiting waiting bs. First it was waiting to get into LS. Then it was waiting to take finals. Then it was waiting for grades. Now it's waiting for transfer apps to be decided on. This is INSANITY!!!!!!!!

chekcing in super late...top 35-36%...not exactly big law secure coming from bls, but at least I kept the entirety of my scholarship and am guaranteed to complete 2/3 of law school for free and stoked about that..not like I want big law anyway and hopefully this is good enough for a mid sized or small firm.

rankings not out yet, but def tanked myself into the top 30-40% range with a craptastic spring, most of the jobs for OCI want top 5/10/25%, IBF*CKED, time to put in work
