Sounds brutal. It would be wise to substitute one of federal courts/securities regulation.

Depends on your answers to the following questions: (1) Are you fucking crazy? (2) Do you sleep at night? (3) Do you plan to jump head first off a bridge onto a concrete sidewalk next semester?... In my humble opinion, it might not be so bad if you are, in fact, fucking crazy, don't sleep at night, and plan to commit suicide next semester.
I'd ditch one of fed courts, sec reg, or BK. If you're a 2L and looking at clerkships next year (including potentially a BK clerkship) then it's pretty simple-- replace sec reg.

Depends what your strong suits are.
If you're really good with statutory classes (I assume you took secured transactions this quarter - how did you do? I found secured transactions and sec reg to be quite similar.) bankruptcy and sec reg will probably be fairly easy for you. I know that I didn't need to put much work in to either class. Also, if you've taken corporations, there may have been some overlap with what you'll do in sec reg (though not necessarily).
To me, Fed Jur is the sticker here. I've found it to be the hardest course I've taken in law school (by far). But, I'm not as good with the esoteric Con Law-type absurdity. Fortunately, there has been a lot of overlap in Fed Jur with my 1L Con Law class.
TBF, depending on the situation, trial advocacy might actually be TCR. I found that class to be immensely time consuming, and even though it "wasn't curved," the profs seemed to curve it anyway (that may be a uniquely Chicago thing) by giving everyone a point or two within median.

I would substitute out sec reg or bankruptcy.
I don't mean to hijack the thread, but would it be crazy to take the following courses in the same semester:
Mergers & Acquisitions
Corporate Finance
Evidence
Accounting & Auditing
Corporate Governance
Initial Public Offerings
Federal appeals
???????
2 are 1 credit mini courses (1 is semester long and the other meets 7 times)

Depends on the school and the professor. The plus is that you'd only have 3 exams.lsat_fear wrote:bad idea?
Talk to your classmates who have had those classes/professors.

i recommend you just take two of the above, pass fail if possible, and two "law and my favorite pony" seminars
