Case Briefing/Legal Research using Google Scholar and Diigo

I just thought I'd share this awesome time-saver with everyone.

Tools needed: (They're all FREE!)
Google Scholar
Diigo + Chrome Extension (Firefox and Internet Explorer toolbars also available)

Ready, set, 7 quick steps to case briefing for the 21st century!

Step 1:
Go to Google Scholar and type in the citation for your favorite case :lol:

Step 2:
Click the Diigo button in Chrome (The Diigo toolbar is always active if you have installed it in Firefox or IE)

Step 3:
Select the parts you want and click 'Highlight'

Step 4:
Repeat for the minimum you'll need for a summary of the case

Image

Step 5:
Open up your highlights in Diigo

Image

Step 6:
Click 'Share' and select 'Generate Report'

Image

Step 7:
Make whatever edits you want, click 'Print', profit
