Good Property Treatises? Forum

Hi,

I'm a Canadian 1L working on a very basic assignment comparing American and Canadian law on regulatory takings/expropriation.

I'm familiar with the Canadian law, but am less clear on how things work down south. We briefly touched on the American law in class, but there are some things I'd like to confirm. Basically, I'm looking for a well-regarded American property treatise that concisely and effectively explains this area of your law. It doesn't need to be extensive. I'm just looking for the basics -- this is a very small assignment.

I'd appreciate a couple different suggestions as my school's library probably doesn't carry everything.
