I need help with how to cite something:
Let's say I have a binding source that affirms a decision from a lower court, but omits the details. If I wanted to discuss the details, I'd cite the lower court opinion, but how do I signal that the decision was upheld by the binding authority?
A v. B, 123 XXX 456 (Xth Cir), citing A v. B, 123 XXX 456 (District Court)
or
A v. B, 123 XXX 456 (District Court), affirmed by A v. B, 123 XXX 456 (Xth Cir)
or some other way??
