My Torts Outline
It will be about 15-18 pages at the max. This includes brief summaries of all the cases we discussed. Does this maybe seem to short?

Seems too long to me. Torts (intentional) is really easy to outline.

Re: My Torts Outline
My unfiltered running Torts outline is about 23 pages with 3 more class sessions to attend.
I know there is alot in there that I won't need in my final outline. I'm hoping to synthesize and trim down to about 7 pages.
This is just for reference. I have learned that the wisdom "different stuff works for different people" is very very true.

+1. I need to figure out a more formulaic way to attack negligence in my answers.Desert Fox wrote:Intentional is easy, negligence is a fucking bitch.kalvano wrote:Seems too long to me. Torts (intentional) is really easy to outline.

Yes. I think my intentional torts outline will be like 2 pages, and then 10 for negligence, if not more.Desert Fox wrote:Intentional is easy, negligence is a fucking bitch.kalvano wrote:Seems too long to me. Torts (intentional) is really easy to outline.

Duty, breach, causation and damages. Your defenses will almost always come up in the proximate cause discussion.beach_terror wrote:+1. Re: My Torts Outline
my torts outline is by far my longest, 38 pages (compared to 12 for civ pro and 18 for K's)
however, my prof expressed a deep desire for us to cite cases. So roughly 20 pages of the torts outline is just mini-briefs. If this weren't expected I imagine it would only be 20 pages.

Nope. Open book and half multiple choice for Torts (with a 5-hour take home issue spotter).nooyyllib wrote:I thought most tort exams were closed book(?)

Re: My Torts Outline
since my prof doesn't need case citations or fact-to-fact comparisons, i think mine will be in the 7-8 page range, all said and done.

Mines about 7 pages right now, 3 weeks left. Open book though, straight issue spotter. Aiming for about 10-12.

To those who used Epstein's casebook - did you also try Epstein's hornbook? Is it any good? How about Emanuel's?
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
