On an anxiety scale from 1 to 10, with the LSAT score waiting being a 5, where would the Bar Exam rank?

I would say compared to the LSAT, for me, def a 10....I guess because you've spent 3 years of law school getting your JD, 3 months studying, over 3 months waiting for results, and a possible job on the line....This has been the worst summer/fall ever!!! Hopefully good news comes this FridayGamecubesupreme wrote:On an anxiety scale from 1 to 10, with the LSAT score waiting being a 5, where would the Bar Exam rank?

Dude I feel like a slave to the BOLE website, hitting refresh like every 30 seconds. It's so easy to doubt yourself about how well you did; I seem to convince myself I failed every day.nealric wrote:Losing sleep for sure.

And even less in public interest. I've already tried cases appearing "under supervision." Student practice orders (in some states0 let you appear under supervision once you've completed 2 years of law school up until the first bar for which you were eligible to sit releases the results. After that, you can practice as a pending attorney or you can't appear anymore. Since I have to be in court everyday, I'm pretty sure fail = fired for me.G. T. L. This norm may be changing ever so slightly, and it applies to a much lesser degree in midlaw and small firms.4for44 wrote:0L who shouldnt be worrying about it yet here... but if you don't pass bar first time do most firms let you go?

My biglaw offer (Jan start date) is expressly contingent on passing.No. Most biglaw firms will let you try a second time before canning you.

Doing poorly on the LSAT just means you take it again. Failing the bar can mean loss of job, loss of thousands of immediate income, perhaps millions of lifetime income.

PASSED! I studied like crazy for that stupid test, and I'm not sure whether to be proud or embarrassed by how high I scored on the MBE. On one hand, I like that I did well. On the other hand, my obsessive studying, constant fear that I failed make me feel, in light of my score, that I might be far more neurotic and type A than I ever suspected.
Just glad that it's over.

Re: Official waiting for NY Bar exam results support thread
For me, this past month has not been too bad. However, once we get closer to Oct 1, I will be far more nervous. I think everyone messes up parts of the exam, it is nervewracking. I so so so hope I do not have to take it again.khgal wrote:How did people survive the wait? I feel ill at least a few times a week thinking I failed and then I read accounts of people failing (http://www.top-law-schools.com/archives ... 29&t=44009) that make my insides hurt.
I know I messed up a part of a few essays, and the mbe felt really difficult in the morning. I hope I survive the next 2.5 months...and don't pass out when that awful day rolls around.
