Pacer is an awesome tool that I think is frequently overlooked. Like you said, getting access to pleadings is much easier through Pacer than most other tools. It also becomes invaluable if you clerk and need to get deep into the procedural history of a case, or at firm and you want to know what *really* happened in a case that may be on point to the issue you are researching (not to mention seeing what arguments were floated and either accepted or shot down).
