Too clever. A dog deserves a real name, not a joke.

Bruiser or Rocky...those are my dogs' names.
And yes, Bruiser was an ode to Bruiser Woods.
I am that lame, it's sad but true.

names that end with a "y" are always good. I like naming dogs after US presidents: Grover, Teddy, Woodrow? Franklin?deneuve39 wrote:Teddy, Wally, or Fred.

I almost got a dog this summer. I was going to name him Sawyer. Great name for a dog.

Name him after your favorite Supreme Court justice? I'm eventually going to get a dachshund (see tar) and name him Felix Frankfurter, Frankie for short.

ok..maybe nimby isn't a great idea....now could be Bob for my favorite justice, Bill for my favorite president, or Newman...for my mailman, or Spiro for my favorite VP

I like Newman because when he's bad you can say "Newman!" a la Jerry, but Spiro is nice, too.MD/JD2B wrote:ok..maybe nimby isn't a great idea....now could be Bob for my favorite justice, Bill for my favorite president, or Newman...for my mailman, or Spiro for my favorite VP

Whatever you do, DON'T name it after beer. I can't tell you how many Buds, Guinnesses, and Killians I met in college. I even knew a Nattie. When I got my dog as a puppy, his name was Brewster. Fucking stupid. Now it's Max.
