Living with a 2L transfer?
I am incoming 1L and in the process for a roommate to keep rent and expenses down. So far, the best match i have going is a 2L transfer to my school. Any advantages or disadvantages living a 2L transfer?

The only difference I can see between them and a regular 2L roomate is that they won't come in knowing any other 2L's. Since law school "cliques" tend to generally establish themselves during 1L, if your roomate is not very outgoing he may not wind up socializing with his fellow 2L's as much. This in turn means he may wind up hanging around with you.
Or not.
That's about the only difference I can see.
(Oh...and he may have leftover supplements you can borrow....)

If they did well enough to transfer from their old school, they may have developed great study habits for you to learn from.

Seems like it would be a positive... you can ask them questions about classes they have already had and get some extra advice. Plus, when you are looking for classes to take 2L, he/she could probably give you some good advice on classes/teachers... maybe even throw an outline your way.

Living with other law students sucks balls. They are high-stress all the time, and especially around finals. Try to find a PhD student to live with or something.
