Question about rank/curve
I posted this in the transfer forum but figured i might get more views over here.
Our class rank has yet to be released so i was hoping that those of you who have had your rank released might be able to help me. I know that rank depends on grade distribution I am just trying to get a general idea
The school is on a 3.0 curve
What GPA roughly corresponds to what rank. Is it pretty close to this?
3.6=top 10
3.5=top 15
3.4=top 20
3.0-3.1= median

Re: Question about rank/curve
we need another data point. like another cut-off (e.g., what is the cutoff for top 10%, or 30% . . . ). Calling sealocust.

I have no data points. I was just curious based on other peoples classes, that were also on a 3.0 curve. Those data points were complete guesses.

Well identified. He is the best, but he won't come in here unless someone says the word math. I have now summoned him properly for the OP, if OP can find another data point.let/them/eat/cake wrote:we need another data point. like another cut-off (e.g., what is the cutoff for top 10%, or 30% . . . ). Re: Question about rank/curve
My law school's page on the NALP directory of law schools provides their cutoffs for various class rank designations. The website is http://www.nalplawschoolsonline.org/
