I could go on, but you get the point. Figured this belonged in this thread and that you would get a kick out of it. Back to red wine and con law.
Okay, I have to ask it: how can people drink and study? My classmates attempted to give me beer earlier this evening, but I had to turn it down. I can drink the beer, or I can take a property practice exam. Both cannot go on simultaneously.
Man, I don't know if I could study if I didn't nurse a glass of wine now and again while doing so. At least not as much as I study now.

As a 3L, I can tell you that this feeling never goes away. Every single semester, I found myself wondering "what if the last X semesters were a fluke?" Now I am on my last set of finals and I'm worried I'm going to ruin what so far has been a really good transcript.

Sort of late in the game, but I want to make sure I finish strong. Anyone have any tips out there for setting an exam apart from the rest in a strictly structural way? I did well last semester following a general outline-ish format, but I can't help but think my exam-taking strategy won't be up to par this time around. Any help's appreciated.

Haha, no my friend, you just caught me when I was actually studying for once. On a good note, I think I did well on my Civ Pro exam. I think that if I can nail this next exam I will at least cement the chance to transfer into a decent school, maybe not t14 but somewhere o.k. at least. If I knock it out of the park, I think good things will come, haha. Man, I need to study........

I'm fried. I literally cannot study today. I have a mental block keeping me from touching books. It's like my brain is going on some deep primitive level, if you touch that book, it will fucking kill you, so don't do it.

God. I am so going to fail Property.

Trust me on this, you need to take a break, it will actually help nothurt. Walk away for at least a few hours, if not the day. Sleep on it, sart again. You will be fine.

Also this is my actual answer from for a RAP hypo from my proptery exam:

At this point the only person I know for sure that does NOT own Blackacre is me, because if I did own it I would have given up on this hypo hours ago and enjoyed my trust fund. But alas I actually have extra words left, and no clue, so I might as well take a shot and hope something sticks to the grading outline.

The way I see it there could be three possible owners of Blackacre after this.

First is the trust fiduciary, LurceBank, as the trust owns the assets in equity for the beneficiaries, thus would own it in the end.

Next could be Nancy, without any Mike spawn the interest vests in her, and she gets away with Blackacre.

Finally there could be a reversion to Karen, in which case the RAP does not apply (if only I could be so lucky) and she owns it again.

I guess I won’t be taking Trusts and Estates any time soon.

Ened up getting an A. Everyone hates and sucks at property, so you don't have to know it pat, just give it your best shot, everyone is going to have trouble with proetry.

I have two exams next week. I'm incredibly confused for the one on Monday, keep doing practice tests, seeing a bunch of stuff but not really spotting any issues that I can articulate. I have no idea what to do for my exam Thursday.

Yeah, goodbye good grades indeed.

idk.. we had 1/3 multiple choice which was really hard. I'm taking questions like, "In X case, what was the reasoning behind the dissent?" Really specific. The first essay was ok, pretty much expected (Dormant Commerce Clause, 10th amendment commandeering stuff, etc) and then the second one was about something we had never talked about. We covered separation of powers between the executive and Congress, but he asked us about separation of powers between the judiciary and the executive - and it wasn't even the supreme court, it was a district court.

I stared at it for like 5 full minutes and then just started typing some stuff without any kind of actual game plan. Sooo.. hopefully there were some answers in there. I should have thought harder and been like "this is a functional argument" or textual or whatever. But I didn't.

The minute the test ended I almost started crying.. apparently my friend had to go cry in the bathroom. I guess the plus side is that everyone felt like they got fucked, so hopefully the curve will work in my favor... I don't know, it's the first time I've ever felt blindsided by an exam.

Civ pro tomorrow. Looking through my notes we apparently spent only one class session on joinder. Can't wait for the inevitable situation where 50% of the multiple choice section covers joinder.

don't underestimate joinder, one early mistake in a massive joinder clusterfuck led to my only horrible grade in law school.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
