anyone know if these email addresses are still issued to law students? i see some current 2Ls have them, a search on this forum seem to suggest that they are issued to students after they complete their computer based training?
cheers

I'll second this question. Right now, I'm stuck with xxx1234@columbia.edu, and ideally I'd make it lastname@columbia.edu.

1. You get them soon after school starts.
2. They are temporary. That is, after you graduate, your ab1234@ address will remain in existence (? Not sure. I think you can set it up to forward e-mail elsewhere.) But firstname.lastname will be wiped out almost as soon as you get your diploma.
