Background: I work as a research assistant at a Plaintiff's civil law firm. Been there for about 5 years and have been assigned as case manager on a potential class action case. This is the first class action I have ever worked on.
My Question: Out of curiosity, how is one able to recruit class representatives? For instance if an opportunity for a class action is found, how would an attorney go about finding a plaintiff without going beyond ethics rules. Are there ethics rules constraining this? Is there any way to actively recruit legally and ethically?
I know everyone is burned out from exams but if anyone could help I would really appreciate it. I have a meeting tomorrow about the case and want to inform myself about class actions as much as I can beforehand.
Thanks!

Re: Class Action Question
Also, how is it possible to file a class action consisting of nationwide class members in state court?

Re: Class Action Question
I'm not sure anyone here can help you. If you work at a place that does class actions, couldn't you find this out easier at work?
