Get new E & E or buy older one?
Hello,
My question is that I was planning to purchase the Criminal Law E & E. I already purchased the Dressler Understanding Criminal Law book, but I'm purchasing the E & E mainly for the questions components. I noticed that Amazon has a new edition for the book - released in Jan 2010.
Fifth edition (new one) - http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/073558 ... 1270929441
/ref=olp_product_details?ie=UTF8&me=&qid=1270929441&sr=8-2&seller=
Fourth edition (older one) - http://www.amazon.com/Criminal-Law-Exam ... 045&sr=1-1
Do you suggest I get the newer one or the older one? Is there a big difference?

I didn't pay much attention in criminal law, but I don't there have been any major changes since 2007, so I would get the old one.

Get the older ones. I actually compared some of the new editions to the older editions, and virtually NOTHING has changed, other than the fact that they slapped a new cover on the thing.

I thought the Dressler book was great and didn't need anything else... so I'd advise you to take the cheaper option.

How about for the Torts one? My friend is graduating and wants to get rid of his old books. He has the 2nd edition, and was willing to give it to me for like 5 bucks. Worth it? Or should I wait and just get the newest one right before school starts?

yes worth it. although most people think the E & E for Torts is kinda weak. I haven't used it yet, but plan to in the next week or so.dakatz wrote:How about for the Torts one?
