Has the lockdown begun?

Post by mac.empress » Wed Apr 07, 2010 10:47 pm

It's 3 weeks before the start of my exams. I (think) I went to my last big party on Monday. I have a date tomorrow and a mini-party to attend. After that, I think I'll start just studying all day and all night.

When will your lockdown begin?

Neh. Last semester I didn't work that hard and hit median. Hoping for a repeat play this semester -

I'm going to NYC this weekend for one last dance with debauchery, and then I'm quarantining myself until finals are over. That's when I begin a crash course patent bar review, and hopefully take the exam before my transfer apps are due.

Started my first outline this past Sunday. Same timeline. Roughly three weeks. Of course, my exams are staggered pretty nicely. I think my last one is around the 10th of May. In any event, I won't be sleeping much for the next month or so.

Mine was supposed to start April 1st, for a first final on May 12th. I screwed up and attended two parties this past week, but I'm ready to be a Jesuit nun for the duration. The trick for me will be to spend more time studying than I spend worrying. It was about a 1:1 ratio last semester. :|

I really don't get the big advantage to starting your outlines really early. Now, granted, I wish I had started mine about two weeks ago. However, I just don't like to have a shit load of time between the in depth coverage I give the material during the outlining phase and the time I sit down to take the exam. I wen't into Thanksgiving break last year with only one outline finished and wen't into finals with one that I hadn't even started. It was hell. Especially getting that last one done during the breaks between exams. But it all worked out just fine. Of course, I'm sure this wouldn't work so great if your one of those people that doesn't bother to read the entire semester.

Because doing the outline is one thing. But practicing doing the analysis is another. Spending time working hypos, and doing timed practice exams is what *should* help get you the best grades possible. But, to each his own; some people may not need that.

Anyways, to answer OP's question. I'm only doing SBA 'attendance mandatory' events, which unfortunately includes going to Barrister's Ball. Other than that, its studying, FIFA, EPL, and wine for the next three weeks.

What is all this off-topic chatter about outlining and stuff? I thought this thread was suppose to be about OP's avatar.

Fine, fine. It is nice, but from prior statements OP has made, I'd rather see pictures of her, not her 'tar.

Oh, and +1 to Ms. Guerra.

It's an ATL meme

It started with some guy who works at the DOJ commenting on every layoff thread with "DOJ SECURE."

Every day there was a match I did no work. The upside of ManU being out of the Champions League is less matches to watch :(.
