When's the BEST time to take bar?
I'm going to law school this fall. Just curious if it's possible for me to take bar after 1L. Heard we'd learn pretty much enough for bar after the 1L.

pretty sure you need a JD to sit for the bar in most states, correct me if I'm wrong.beast510 wrote:I'm going to law school this fall. Just curious if it's possible for me to take bar after 1L. Heard we'd learn pretty much enough for bar after the 1L.

I know of at least one state you can take the bar before the JD but seriously WTF? Just concentrate on law school that first year and then decide.

related question... if could sit and pass it after 1L, would that improve your employment prospects?

wtf? no?Hammurabi wrote:related question... if could sit and pass it after 1L, would that improve your employment prospects?
So I get that a lot of these questions are coming from newbies, so no big deal, but don't worry about the bar. Everyone takes a prep course for it, and it's nothing but a pass/fail obstacle. If you go the big firm route, you'll be hired long before you even sit for the damn thing.
