Anybody have any solid book recommendations or useful links (other than Google ) containing information about the variety of public interest/service jobs available to LS graduates, strategies for building a PI-oriented resume, etc.? I figure I can't be the only person curious about this.

If you are just trying to get a feel for what kinds of jobs are out there, you can browse through the postings on pslawnet.org. It's probably the biggest single clearinghouse for PI jobs.
