+ fairly significant personal reasons for wanting to transfer. could those 2 factors turn an "iffy" applicant into a reasonable possibility for t10?

Transfers are considered mainly on their 1L grades. While I don't have concrete data, most people I have talked to in admissions have told me that you should target to be in the top 10% of your class. So I don't know how much weight your LGBT/personal circumstances will be taken into account.

26 to 10? I can understand why a similarly ranked school would understand why you would want to transfer if your status led to an incident or something at your current school, but why would t10 care about anything other than school rank and class rank? Would they be trying to make their class more diverse?
Wait for GPA, you will have a LOT of time between when you get your grades and when you will need to set up transfers (assuming the school requires spring grades which I ASSUME t10 do).

I lol'd at "school range T26"
OP could've just said "I go to either BC or Iowa", it'd mean the same thing.
