Yet Another Transfer Question. TTT to...? Forum

Hello Everyone:
I've enjoyed reading these boards for some time, but have yet to post. Probably due to my fears of inferiority for attending a TTT law school. Anyways, I have received my first semester grades and did quite well. Based on previous rankings I am likely to fall somewhere in the top 5 to 2 percent. I know it is very difficult to transfer into the T14 from a TTT, but with my grades I feel it is worth a shot. I have no real preferences as far as what areas I wish to practice law in when I graduate, but I definitely would like to work in biglaw. I really enjoy the school I attend right now and feel like I am getting a great education, but the realities of the job market make me skeptical of staying here if I have the opportunity to go somewhere else. Should I go? Is biglaw likely at top 2% in a TTT law school with law review etc? Is it worth it to apply to other schools not in the T14 like BU, Illinois, Vanderbilt etc? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. If anyone wants to speculate on my chances that would also be appreciated. Sorry, I know a lot of people are sick of these transfer threads, and I am fully aware of the Yahoo group and other related materials.

Thanks. What do you think about employment prospects for someone near the top of the class at a TTT? Is it worth it to consider transferring to schools within the T25?

Can't help you there. Maybe somebody else here knows, otherwise I'd suggest transferapps as your best source.

I just checked transferapps and apparently someone with slightly worse grades than I (through one semester at least) was accepted into Georgetown from my school. Does anyone think I have a shot at any of the schools ranked higher? UC, NYU, UVA or UM?
