Transfer: Upper T2 to T14 Forum

Anyone transfer from (upper) T2 to T14? If so, what was your rank?

Even if you don't have personal experience with such a transfer, any idea what rank would allow one to transfer from upper T2 to:

UCLA?
GULC?
Northwestern?
Boalt?
CCN?
HYS?

GULC? top 10%
Northwestern? top 10%
Boalt? top 5-10%
CCN? top 5%
HYS? top 1%

These are rough estimates.

Please note these ranks are what would make you "competitive."

By that I mean, you could rank top 1% of your class and get shut out of all of them (due to competition).

Those seem reasonable. However, Boalt and UVA rejected a lot of people who got into higher ranked schools last year.

It seems as though I remember NU saying at some point that they would be accepting fewer transfer students than in years past due to the state of the economy. I believe that they accepted fewer this year because of the introduction of the AJD program and not wanting their 2L class to exceed 300.

Yes. This year NU cut the transfer class by a third.

Hmmmm..... I transferred from a T4 school to a T20 school, and I was top 8%. Was a shoe in at a T14, until they coldly rejected me after 4 months on a bloody waiting list.
