Goal for yesterday: finish torts outline
What actually happened: did my torts reading for monday and watched a lot of tv

Goal of today: finish contracts outline
What's actually happening: I'm reading the E&E for the stuff I already outlined. Helpful to my understand. Not helpful to my sense of productivity, as i basically feel like i've accomplished nothing.

Not so much because of the gun, but because of the Carolina Panthers jersey.

Yeah - I think I might be the least gunnerish/worst gunner ever. I've done nothing more than my reading all semester. Then around last week someone showed me a sample exam, and I realized I literally knew nothing, so I decided i should probably try to learn some stuff before I fail out. I shouldn't even be on this website, since I'm a bad representation of law students.

In reading a lot of these cases, I'm astonished by just how bad some lawyers are.

No, lawyers.

I just read a case where a lawyer offered no justifications for a client's offense because the lawyer just assumed that he couldn't be convicted based on other circumstances. According to statute, he could.

Or cases in which lawyers appeal, but fail to provide any real basis for an appeal, and leave the appellate court to just assume what the lawyer wants.

There are a lot of completely incompetent lawyers out there.

I never gun in class, but I usually line up in the "after-class queue" or bug my profs during office hours to ask about nuances in the cases. Do those still count?

gunning in class is weak. all it does is help spread your gunning knowledge to others..which kinda defeats the purpose now doesn't it?

I suppose. Although, most of the gunning knowledge has already been displayed to our section by one person. She seems like a nice girl and she's very smart, but good God, she guns like she's manning a helicopter mounted Gatling gun. Today in Contracts and Torts I'm pretty sure she raised her hand for 95% of the questions asked even before the person who was asked the questions got a chance to finish.

Seems awfully late in the semester for that kind of foolishness.

Yep, we have one of those. As if it wasn't annoying enough, when she raises her hand she does that jabbing motion with her shoulder that reeks of "oohhh look at me I know". She's kind of cute though.

Can someone reassure me that my outlines aren't too short?

Smallest 3 pages (Civ Pro: PJ/SMJ/Venue only) and the longest is Crim, 9 pages, and it's our only final. I feel like I have all the necessary information and everything is closed book, but my classmates have outlines that may as well be commercial supplements.

What can possibly be in there?

How do you only have one final?

Our classes are year long, save Crim (fall) and Con Law (spring), so everything else is a midterm.

We have year-round classes, but have 2 separate finals. Count your blessings.

So you get spring and fall grades? That is the worst!

I don't really see how you can do PJ, SMJ, and Venue in three pages. But if you really have everything who cares what everyone else says. Have you tried taking practice finals?

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
