I recall once looking at the Microsoft webpage and they had a database of templates. Some of them were listed as law school templates, but none of them seemed better than what I was already using.

As far as outlining goes, if you can use your outline on the computer, table of contents is feature that I just stumbled across in Word that has some potential. Once you get over the formatting issues, it's like having a skeleton outline up front that will whisk you to any spot you need if you need to recall more info.

With regard to my issue I mentioned earlier about being at work and needing to view my onenote files and not wanting to have to convert to word is there any way open office would open a onenote file? My jump drive which I save everything to (including all my onenote stuff) apparently has a "U3" which I guess means I can install certain programs onto it. Any idea if OneNote is one of those "certain" programs that can be installed on my flashdrive? Then I could open onenote at work via my flashdrive.

Not wanting to start a new topic for this question:

Does anyone know why when I publish my outline to word the entire thing is in bold? My outline has some parts bolded (headings and important info), but when published every single word is bolded. Any ideas?

I find it easier to work with word sometimes. Also, print preview with onenote isn't helpful.

The sound quality is okay, and I can hear the prof okay, but the typing noise from my typing away on my computer is a little distracting. So I'm thinking about getting a plug in microphone, though I wonder if I would still hear the same typing noise (but hoping it would be less loud/overbearing). Any thoughts?

I can't find any hits for the one I have buts it seems very simualr to this one --LinkRemoved--
That'll be another to-buy item that goes on my list alongside a gigantic desk setup and good office chair, neither which I already have but may need to craigslist separately.

I'll be spending some of my free-time looking for a mic to go with my Mac. I'll report back here if/when I find one.

Anyone know how to make variable spacing or font size automatically in OneNote? It did it by itself one time during UG, and I haven't been able to replicate it. For example, the top outline levels are all the same spacing, but there is a slightly larger space before you jump down to a block of the next indentation. The spacing is easier on the eyes. Maybe I'm just nuts, though.
