I think all my grades will be out by the end of next week, which will make it that much harder to focus in class and get my reading assignments done. Still haven't even started on my advance assignments yet.

I am so jealous of all of you getting grades back... I cannot wait two more weeks!! Why do they wait until second semester starts? I don't want to be around other people when I have to process how bad the damage is. I'm sure I'll need a few days to recover. Hopefully they'll post them on a Friday afternoon so I can spend the weekend drinking.

Yeah, ours are next Friday at 3pm, ten minutes after my last class. I'm booking it home and cracking a beer, THEN looking.

Prof sent around a real student's "A" answer this afternoon....there's only one person in the class who doesn't think that email is horrible.

Contracts grade in... I'm happy because it's above median, but worried because it was by far my best exam. I can't believe I would be more nervous than ever after getting one grade back.

Also at the moment I'm exactly as stupid as my LSAT score. Hoping that doesn't change.

First substantive class grade in! Torts: A! No A+'s were given, only 5 A's out of 70 people... so I have a good feeling about the rest considering I felt the worst about that exam!

Some schools have built-in merit award for the top X number of students in class. So check there first. That information is usually available on the FinAid website.

If not, I'd start with the Dean of Students with a question. (S)he may direct you elsewhere, perhaps the Admissions department since that's where the scholarship committee will be most likely.

Finally, all my grades are out. I was getting concerned when the first one I got was a B, but it only got better from there. In all, I got a B, a B+, and two A's. I could have done better but I should be happy. It looks like my GPA should place me just barely inside the top 10% at this point.

Only vicarious experience. I've been on TLS for 4 fall semesters now, and every fall semester it comes up and a few people give it the 'ol Christian try. Some schools bribe people not to leave, but they tend to be third/fourth tier schools where only the top students have a shot at decent employment to begin with.

Predictions on how you did in each class means absolutely nothing. Got the same grades in the class I felt I bombed, and one class where I felt I did rather well. Meh. I think multiple choice can really be the deal breaker in distinguishing the curve.

I am a) a little drunk and b) a little neurotic since 2 grades just came in but how exactly do I figure out whether or not I am below median? I think I posted IU Indy's curve somewhere here but cannot find it and I need to know whether my insane GPA calculator games are going to prove fruitful.
