Big congrats on the 3.9 man, that's insane.
There's got to be some math formula out there that says since all of you are doing so well, I'm inevitably going to have to be one of the fuck ups.

Got my first grade in (Property) and... huh. Not really happy or angry about this grade. It could definitely be worst when considering that LSAT and what-not predicted me much lower compared to the school I'm going to now. Still wish I didn't look at it (or know, damn you Facebook friend poster) or know about it until school started back up, though. Still think I got WTFpwned in Contracts and Torts, though.

Re: 1L grade waiting thread
I was already planning on working harder 2nd semester.
I actually already had some responses from state trial judges for interviews in the near future. I'm thinking that with grades it might be more worthwhile to try for more difficult internships.

Had to celebrate somewhere-
Torts: A
Civ Pro: A
Contracts: B+
LRW: A
Felt terrible about the civ pro final, and felt like I aced the contracts final. Freakin' contracts final was 5.5 hours
easy to get deceived I suppose.
I hate to be that guy, but I dare not tell any of my classmates, so.... go go gadget internet anonyminity

Then again, I'm just praying for median.
3 or 6 days left.

Congrats. I had read that how you feel usually never corresponds with how you do, but I hadn't really internalized that until it actually happened.mr.ford wrote:Had to celebrate somewhere-

I envy all of you. I will likely not have my final grades until Jan 21 or 22nd. Professors are given a month to return grades. Last exam was Dec. 20, plus a day or two afterwards.
I just want to know. I have no grades yet. First exam was the 9th.

I may or may not have just gotten the 2nd highest final exam score in Contracts
I feel like I need to hop in my car and just go for a drive with the stereo blasting, is this reality??

Tempering the excitement. Got LRW grade. Can't say I'm 100% satisfied with LRW. Let's just leave it at that.

Destroyed this exam. Typed ~9000 words in 2.5 hours; next closest student total was 5000ish. I also spent too much time on this subject and thus knew it cold. My brain was in overdrive on the day of the exam, and the exam was tailored to things I had focused on and topics I knew a lot about independently.
Ks: B+
Hoping for the just above median here. This exam was brutal, so perhaps I'm underestimating myself. The whole class seemed to struggle with it, and I spent too much time analyzing certain issues. Subpar (if not turrible) results on our practice midterm for a large % of the class is my only saving grace here.
Civ Pro: Ask me tomorrow afternoon.
LRW: B+?
No idea how to tell, honestly. I killed the 20% "final", but have no idea how to gauge my memo's quality. I'll take the safe route here and call it a just-above median B+.
A- on Civ Pro tomorrow leaves me right at the 10% cutoff.![]()
Update:
Torts: A-
Ks: A-
Civ Pro: Nothing yet, but let's guess an A- for good measure.
LRW: 2 months later, still no grade.
I'm an f-ing machine of consistency.
Four classes, four A-s. 3.67, which has traditionally been around top 3-4% at my school. First semester, a success.

I have this sinking feeling that I won't be able to live up to the standard that this thread is setting.

If it makes you feel better, some of the posters are probably not 100% truthful.

Yeah it's reminding me of LSAT score threads where everyone seems to be scoring in the top 1%.dakatz wrote:I have this sinking feeling that I won't be able to live up to the standard that this thread is setting.
