Re: 2L. No motivation
anyone know where i can find NU professors' grade distributions? does that exist? is that a thing?
http://www.law.northwestern.edu/academi ... olicy.html
according to that at least 40% of students have to receive B+ or better, right? and at most 67% could receive B+ or better? man B+ would be such a solid victory...

They don't publish professors grade distribution. But generally uncurved = win.traehekat wrote:anyone know where i can find NU professors' grade distributions? does that exist? is that a thing?

Re: 2L. No motivation
Just finished Comm Trans. He added an extra class for a bankruptcy lawyer to come speak a month ago, I had a scheduling conflict and he told me not to worry. No one had notes from it when I tried to get them. Then one whole question was: "The second example the bankruptcy lawyer gave, how would you do that?" Another was a 1L contracts case that wasn't in our coursepack...think I may have managed an answer after 10 minutes of Westlaw research. FML

You can P/F a C or better. That test blew.keg411 wrote:+1dailygrind wrote:I suspect I am going to have to work next semester to counterbalance the effect this semester will have on my GPA. Very disappointing.
No more 2LOL. I actually had to re-work my entire Secured Transactions outline today after realizing it didn't work when I tried PT's. Just need a B- so I can pass/fail this shit (or that the Commercial Paper people, which is 90% of the class, help the curve).

Getting an internship has literally killed my motivation to study. Even though its the type that isn't paid, and doesn't get you a job when you graduate.

I was at that class and no one took notes. It just seemed like a "here is a guest speaker" thing rather than a "this is going to be on the final" thing. I remembered the scenario, but I couldn't remember how he worked it out.blowhard wrote:Just finished Comm Trans. Also, I didn't notice any 1L contracts case, unless it was only on the Payment Systems part of the exam.

I love this thread.
Pro Tip for 2Ls w/out motivation and w/ a job lined up: find a reason to visit away to another school your final year. All grades are P/F, and you still graduate from your old school. Incredible.

Blowhard and Keg, you are violating rule 1 of law school. No talking about exams after they are over. There is no good that can come from it.

Lost cause for tax tomorrow. Can't even answer the practice exam Q's, and the model answers make no sense to me. There is one Q on each test that is always 25%. I studied my ass off and mastered that one thing at the expense of everything else. Please god let that be enough cushion to snag a B and escape without destroying my transcript.

Just took mine. I know length doesn't correlate well with grade, but when there are word limits and you're under them by a decent margin, things start to look really bad. Damn, I really wanted to go into cruise control next semester too.Holly Golightly wrote:So hungover. No motivation. Need to take Admin by 9am. Still know nothing.
