Re: bar results waiting thread
My PA bar results page doesn't work, it just keeps saying "they will be posted after 4", but I have video confirmation from a few people that I passed so I'll take it.
Also, 77% passed PA this time around, that kinda sounds really low to me.
EDIT: Nevermind, I passed, its showing up now.

Didn't pass PA bar : (
After reading the analysis for the essay portion, I am sure the MBE portion is what killed me.
Feeling suicidal right now...not sure what to do besides registering for the Feb exam and forking over $700 before October 30th.

Sorry bro. Did they tell you your score breakdowns? Unless you have the type of job that fires people who fail the bar on the first try, failing isn't the end of the world, just a pain in the ass more than anything else. Someone I know who failed another state said that life wasn't so bad the next day.Gamecubesupreme wrote:Didn't pass PA bar : (

That sucks, man. It could have happened to any of us, especially with that MBE. You'll get it next time.Gamecubesupreme wrote:Didn't pass PA bar : (

That MBE was brutal man, I came out of that thinking I got 25/200. Keep your head up.Gamecubesupreme wrote:Didn't pass PA bar : (

I apparently overstudied for CO. 162.6 on the MBE, 183.6 scaled on the essays. They must've added like 100 pts to my essay score ...
I'm not here to gloat, more to bemoan how I overdid it and made my summer beyond miserable.

Eh, better than spending your last months of freedom worried that you actually could have failed.dudders wrote:I apparently overstudied for CO. 162.6 on the MBE, 183.6 scaled on the essays. They must've added like 100 pts to my essay score ...

I actually neglected my real classes to study for the MPRE because I really know how to prioritize things.ragelion wrote:MSPeast wrote: I remember worrying about the MPRE only to wind up with a 113.
ETA: To be fair, the actual test felt oddly difficult, much like this year's MBE, which was probably why I wound up worrying despite how much I studied. I wouldn't be surprised if I got a surprise 165 MBE, either, even though it felt like a chainsaw abortion. (My state doesn't tell us our MBE scores.)

Hi there! Congratulations to everyone who passed and my condolences to those who didn't. I'm going crazy here waiting for my NY results. Does anyone know whether they might release the results earlier than the end of October/beginning of November this year?? Take some of this stress off??

They were "released" on November 2 last year, but emails started going out the night before. I think first week in November is pretty standard (someone can correct me if that's wrong).tx1987 wrote:Hi there! Congratulations to everyone who passed and my condolences to those who didn't. Holy crap, I just realized the released sample answer for PA's Performance Test was mine.
I know for sure because I have a habit of citing statutes with brackets and underline case laws (except those in the intro, I italicized them). I also remember very well I rushed the last paragraph and didn't write a paragraph under the heading "Conclusion."
I wonder how many people managed to fail the bar despite having produced a sample answer for the essays.

In PA do you have to retake the whole thing or just the MBE

I really don't know what to do about the MBE. I just suck at multiple choice exams. For reference, I failed the MPRE 3 times.
I am considering seeking some kind of multiple choice psychology counseling.
Or maybe this time around, I will just do nothing but MBE questions every day until my eyes bleed.

Man that is crazy. I would be furious that they failed me and then used my essay as a sample answer. Not that there's anything to be accomplished by being pissed, but that's just messed up.Gamecubesupreme wrote:Holy crap, I just realized the released sample answer for PA's Performance Test was mine.
