Times when it's not great to get sick: when you still have your admin final and a 24 hour take home final
Fuck.

All my friends are done. I have to do my copyright take home tomorrow. I'm so sad. It's the first snow of the year and I have to study!

Feel like I did enough on PR to get median and be done with it.

Evidence is my last final. Evidence is by far my best class. With that said, I feel like its just not smart to not study at all and sit here playing video games like I have for the past 3 days.

I'm chugging down redbull, listening to my workout mix, and hoping like hell I can find that last ounce of give-a-fuck. I know it's hiding in here somewhere, I just have to flush it out through intense caffeination.

Caffeine is TCR. I'm going to go through some severe headaches during break when I wean myself off it again, but it's a lifesaver right now. That moment when the caffeine kicks in and you feel yourself starting to care is a pretty damn good feeling.dailygrind wrote:I'm chugging down redbull, listening to my workout mix, and hoping like hell I can find that last ounce of give-a-fuck. You're not alone. I'm pretty sure all of us feel this way. Fortunately, all of our grades come out at one time, so we don't have to suffer the pain and disappointment more than once.goosey wrote: i want to say i cant wait for my grades, but i have never been more scared

Re: 2L exam prep thread
I'm planning to wait for all of them to come out then check. Better to get it over with all at once. I'm undecided on whether I want to feel the full weight of my shame, or whether I want to scotch the edge off first.

You're more scared than last year? That seems funny.PirateCap'n wrote:You're not alone. I'm pretty sure all of us feel this way. If my grades came out bad last year, I would've dropped out and never looked back. At this point, it doesn't matter. I'm all-in. It gives a different flavor to watching everything unfold.

last year was a "i have no idea what a median grade feels like" scared...having nothing to measure yourself off of. Now I know what A exams go like...what B+ exams go like...and unfortunately, what a B- exam goes like. And I also know how much work you have to put in to be above median, and that did not put in even a fraction of this. The idea that I may wind up with a grade below median that will utterly destroy my gpa is way scarier than last year. Last year, I had no gpa.

i have a scholarship stipulation. came to this school over my #1 choice [in an oversaturated market, mind you] because of the scholarship. And I intend on keeping it, or what was the sacrifice for? even on a full tuition scholarship, I have about 10k in loans that I used to cover books and commuting, etc. Plus, we had a tuition hike..so of course..needed an extra 4k to cover that

Exactly. Two very different things.goosey wrote:beach_terror wrote: It's a different type of scared.

Concentrating long enough to take a take-home is rough. This particular take-home is also quite rough because the word limits is a puny 2500 words. I feel like it takes 3x that to answer this question.

There's a moment of sheer panic that hits when you're crosschecking an outline and you realize that in some sections it's blatantly wrong. Fucking credibility lost.

I don't think I've ever been as confused about anything in my life as I am about non-assignable/non-assumable executory contracts in bankruptcy and In re Catapult Entertainment. WTF?

Re: 2L exam prep thread
I actually paid attention to that case since it had to do with video games. Basically the DIP (Catapult) wanted to assume a contract that would normally be nonassignable under federal law. But they didn't want to assign it. And they argued that since they didn't want to assign it, they should be able to assume it. (Actual test). But the court held that the plain meaning of the statute (365c1) called for a hypothetical test. If hypothetically the non-Dr party would be entitled to block assignment, then the DIP can't assume.denimchickn wrote:I don't think I've ever been as confused about anything in my life as I am about non-assignable/non-assumable executory contracts in bankruptcy and In re Catapult Entertainment. This is contrary to the intent of Congress, but they suck at drafting statutes so that's the law.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
