Not clear how you think someone would automatically think you are trying to sabotage them if you made a mistake - they would probably think you just made a mistake. Also, your focus on sabotage seems to suggest that you may be misreading the other person you were complaining about. They could just be dumb.

Scotty and Tea gave the impression that WUSTL was a pretty cutthroat place so maybe.

A guy at my law school was literally stabbed in the back because he stole someone else's lunch from the refrigerator

I know when I see something incorrect in my friends' notes, I instantly think about those rat bastards scheming behind my back to take my coveted spot on the curve. Yeah, you a-holes thought you could get away with passing it off as a typo, but I know what you're up to! You want my B+!!!

Sabotage has to be the dumbest thing ever. If it works, the person was going to be below median anyway. People at and above median use more than just class notes to prep for finals.

LOL you guys are so entertaining. YOu will literally blow up the tiniest thing into this huuuge deal. Clarify: I just meant that there could be a remote possibility, not a likely possibility but a remote one... 'm also being slightly facetious despite the remote possibility I raised.

Also consider that people in 1L are still getting to know each others' true natures. I've discovered some people I didn't take an inclination to at first to be quite interesting and nice, and vice versa. So it's not like I'm really giving stuff to a "friend". I'm giving it to a "classmate friend"

I would stab someone in the back for that. Unless it was my decoy sabotage lunch with kale or carrots, because both of those are gross. :)

You have nothing to fear re: sabotage unless you're a hyper-competitive, jealous-hoarder-of-notes gunner. In fact, why are you so paranoid? The rational assumption is that your kale or carrots lunch would be stolen, not your real lunch, which is probably unhealthy. None of your classmates want you to be healthy, because healthiness may lead to you achieving better mental health, and then better grades.

I wouldn't share my notes unless it was for a classmate who had a really good reason for missing class. And only because I once shared my outline with someone and it ended up on outline depot.

Good point, I'm going to sprinkle arsenic on my decoy kale and carrots lunch ;)

I literally woke my spouse up with my chuckling over this thread. Props to mootness to seemingly be rolling with the lulz at this point. I liked the bloodfeud part especially.

If you were truly competitive, you wouldn't have an issue giving people all your notes and outlines. Then you'll know that they had everything you had and you still topped them. That's how you reach true baller status. I don't think you have the chops for that.

This is a great point. Moistness is the problem here. I have no desire to correct the autocorrect that just occurred.
