i didn't purposely memorize shit either. obv i remembered quite a bit from making the outline but i used my outlines a lot during the exams.

Some people remember certain information naturally. My memory is generally terrible, but holy shit were law school exams my thing, and holy shit can I remember analysis from case law. I can't remember names of people I've met five times (being a faces person is a real thing), or where I left my hat, or that I promised x I would y at z, but goddamn ask me to verbally distinguish opposing counsel's case and I'll recall every single fact from the three cases I cited in opposition and remember the cases my cases cited in support. On exams I could visually recall the pages from the case book that related to the issue I was dealing with, literally picture how the words on the page were laid out, where they appeared on the page. It wasn't intentional. It's kind of always been my thing. You play the cards you're dealt in life.
My only point is the world is full of nut bags, prepare accordingly.
