Well I had both reddit and 4chan on my resume, but I took both off due to this thread.
I thought there would have been hiring partners that were redditors or /b/tards

occasionally there are good law threads on /b/
some biglaw ppl were posting a few nights ago, including one old dude who was talking about how baller it was to graduate umich in the early 80s, everyone got big firms and went in house w ease
but vast majority were disgruntled ttt grads squawking about how terrible their lives were

You're about the right age to be a potential interviewer. Google it and then say what you would think if you saw that on a resume and googled it.

Basically a collection of link-driven message boards separated as distinct communities with their own individual moderation/governance/culture. Hearkens back to Usenet in many ways but with the advantage of an upvote/downvoted system that when successful elevates good content and keeps the shitposters at bay. Highly communal and often extremely funny, informative, interesting. At least on the right subreddits. The wrong subs are downright horrifying.

Yea, I actually agree with you. I actually have a ton of different things I make and I love cooking. Just can't think of any better way to say it. Just saying Cooking sounds so vague and bull-shittey imo... Any suggestion of a better phrase?

@ the other guy I have other hobbies that are maybe more "real," but are things that typically involve 95% men. No reason to list them here, would be pretty outing

I think it is time wasting, but innocent.
However, given the goal/opportunity of a resume, I would certainly not use precious space to share that I have an interest in this.

If I was interviewing someone for a legal position, I would compare the totality of the resume to others, and this disclosure would not be a positive.
You are hoping for neutral at best, and therefore, I would not do it.

FWIW i have cooking on my resume and films. Then they ask during the interview what kind of cooking and whta is your favorite movie and they get the jist, and I can vary my answer for what I am feeling from the interviewer. I think for the interest section vagueness is the way to go, no question. I also have fostering dogs and improving spanish on there as well (because I want to learn more spanish and I would not say my speaking ability is a skill, but it definitely sparks interest).

Just pick something that can start a conversation, but won't weird out a 70 year old partner who may be interviewing you. So, not paleo, not low carb cooking, not reddit, etc.
