Average in most classes, but A+ in Gin & Tonics.

I had to hustle so hard for a job this semester, that I fell behind in all my classes pretty early on. I never caught up.
I feel like I beat the curve in every class, but I didn't really rock any finals like I did last year. I'm predicting straight A-'s in all six classes (PR, Evid., IP, O&G, Analytic Methods, War on Terror). That's going to hurt my GPA.

I started out sympathetic until you predicted (1.) that you'd get a 3.7 and (2.) that it would lower your GPA.JazzOne wrote:I had to hustle so hard for a job this semester, that I fell behind in all my classes pretty early on. I never caught up.

I wasn't looking for sympathy. Did I mention that law review kept me pretty busy? I love law school, and I'm just soaking it in right now. BTW, we're on a 3.3 curve, so 3.7 isn't outrageous. It's not even top 10%.SBL wrote:I started out sympathetic until you predicted (1.) that you'd get a 3.7 and (2.) that it would lower your GPA.JazzOne wrote:I had to hustle so hard for a job this semester, that I fell behind in all my classes pretty early on. +1. A 3.7 on a 3.3 curve is still pretty good. True, although I was thinking he was on a 3.0 curve. 3.7 at my school is probably top 3-5%.MrKappus wrote:+1. A 3.7 on a 3.3 curve is still pretty good. Yeah mine too. And it's my GPA until this semester's grades come out. Quoting myself here because I'm pretty sure Evidence pwned the shit out of me today. But apparently it pwned the shit out of everyone, so that whole "curve" thing might come into play.seespotrun wrote:Really? I got below-median pwned by evidence last year. Hate MC so much.Big Shrimpin wrote:Evidence pwnd the sht out of me last week. If I hit the median in ANY of my classes, I'll be elated. Evidence was mostly MC questions which were brutally tricky - almost didn't finish - felt like I didn't use nearly enough facts from the fact pattern in the essay - never felt so bad about an exam. Ugh, I'm expecting the same. Seeing as how I'll probably be doing just about only fed lit after-LS, I feel like, at least at some point, I'm gonna have to figure out this whole "federal rules of evidence" thing.

Amen to MC. Vow to never take one in law school and sticking to it (simply lucked out 1L), regardless of class, professor, curve.ToTransferOrNot wrote:I got below-median pwned by evidence last year. Having my first experience with word limits right now and completely losing my mind. Already am going through professors exam reserves looking for ones that don't have word limits so I can never do this again, though I suppose waiting till grades to make that decision might be smart.

Expecting to be median-pwned in every class except CrimPro.
Not that concerned about what it will do to my GPA. Worrying is for 1Ls without jobs.

Antitrust: B- (I know I fucked up the last question big time)
Bus Orgs: B+
Crim Pro: A-
Trusts & Estates: B (missed the big tax issue entirely)

Damn, I'm feeling a lot less confident now than I did right at the end of exams. Now I'm thinking 3.5. sfdjdfsjklsdfk

Jeez, already got a grade. And given what it was, now I'm going to sit here hoping it wasn't a mistake!
At least now I get a brief respite from chastising myself for not working hard enough this semester.

Worse than 1L year....should have studied much, much, much harder instead of jacking off for 3 months.
Also, core upper div classes (Sec Reg, etc.) are SO MUCH HARDER than 1L classes. SOOOOO much goddamn material to learn. I feel like I need to gun next semester.
