Location is sometimes negotiable. Politics rarely.

The desire to graduate at the top of the class. That in itself is enough for me. I am very competitive and it is kind of like a game to me.

Dearest Rocket, you can't be a tour guide if you've never been to the location.Rocketman11 wrote:what else is negotiable? let's talk 5th baseOperaSoprano wrote:vanwinkle wrote:I feel like I'm watching the start of something magical.Rocketman11 wrote: You and I both know the former isn't a requirement. Re: What motivates you to study ?
I had a similar experience back in college. Though the roommate was somewhat tidier and closer to my age, he was a complete douchebag. He's also one reason I was always either at the library or hanging out with buddies.uwb09 wrote:1a - one of my roommates is this 45 year old life failure, he works part just to afford a shitty mattress on the floor in the room he rents, and spends all his time sitting on the sofa watching lifetime movies and drinking beer, prob never had a gf in his life, seeing that motivates me in itself, in that I want to do everything possible NOT to become him
1b - he's also annoying as hell and thinks i'm his best friend or something, whenever i'm home he tries to talk to me about stupid crap, so he's a good motivator to spend all my time on campus/in t he library studying, so I don't have to go home and deal with him

Re: What motivates you to study ?
Fear of failure and all that it entails, future money, proving to myself that I am capable of doing it.
I had no IDEA I could study as much as I am now. It's amazing what you can do when you get your sh*t together and just do it.
I also made the hardest decision of my life and didn't get cable, so I study that much more when I'm home.
