1. No crim law for me...sorryapper123 wrote:is that when a cat dies
2. absolutely not. Cats dying would be either 1) a favor to me or 2) due to Kramer leaving the door open. Dogs on the other hand...

I know we're messing around but do you really need to know? I'll copy and paste that section of my outline if you want.

A'nold: how do you think no Con Law will affect/effect (wtf I dont remember) the transfer thing, or have you talked to people about it? (I won't have crim law)
I mean scheduling/classes/etc. (because I know you will get in somewhere) not acceptance issues

I believe we will just have to sit in with the 1L's. Too bad b/c of the harder curve but other than that I'm all like "eh."stinger35 wrote:A'nold: how do you think no Con Law will affect/effect (wtf I dont remember) the transfer thing, or have you talked to people about it? (I won't have crim law)

I actually like that idea. They will all be swamped with other 1L curves and classes/being typical 1L's/not knowing law school exams/as nervous as you and I are now.A'nold wrote:I believe we will just have to sit in with the 1L's. Re: Semi-Pre-exam Freak Out
Game time baby! I was thinking that same thing the other day, like the majority of the 1L's will be absolutely clueless as to how the whole exam process works. Their uber gunnage could be a problem though when coupled w/ our lazy 2L ways.stinger35 wrote:I actually like that idea. Well here's to being at Michigan or Northwestern next year and combining to destroy the curve against those kids. (those are top choices for you, right?)

Re: Semi-Pre-exam Freak Out
Basically, although it is hard b/c every single one of the t14 are my "top choices" haha. Michigan is my dream and Berkeley would BE a dream due to its powerhouse stature and location in the general area I hope to work (About San Fran on up to Seattle would be great).A'nold wrote:stinger35 wrote:Game time baby! Re: Semi-Pre-exam Freak Out
Gonna apply to H just because
After that its something like this: (this is both my desire coupled with chances of getting in..as you said any t14 will actually do)
Chicago
Northwestern
Michigan
Columbia/NYU (not too much of a chance)
Duke
UVA
Gtown
Anything else
Really really really just hoping for NU and if not the UM...just have a gut feeling that I will end up at one of them for some reason.

but we all know that wont happen
so i wanna go to columbia/nyu
but it's gunna be nigh impossible to xfer from an 80s skewl not in the NY area to there anyways plus i plan on blowing exams so
then chicago?
it's kinda cold there tho
im gunna shoot at UVA/michigan/berkeley/northwestern
ill prob (very happily) just end up at gulc. it's always been a favorite school of mine even if people like to bash it on TLS for being a factory.
tbh a biglaw job would be nice, but my ultimate goal is to work in DC politics/government/policy... gulc may actually be the best school for me outside of HYS if those are my goals

Re: Semi-Pre-exam Freak Out
Yea my ultimate goal is in the UVA/Michigan/NU/Duke area. I wouldn't be mad at all to end up at GULC. The only reason I put other schools above it is because of the OCI competition that comes along with that many damn students. Still, I was pissed with no EA acceptance.apper123 wrote:i wanna go to harvardstinger35 wrote:If no t14, then yea, clown town it is. If no clown town, Cooley. Re: Semi-Pre-exam Freak Out
I am more wondering if anyone knows people who have done or has done it themselves.
Yes, know a kid that went from top of class to just outside of top 10%--and I am sure there is worse. With just one semester of grades, a bad grade or two can really hurt. More likely, however, is that if you screw up in a class that you will end up top 5%. Not the end of the world.
Good luck.

Well shit. That would really screw me. No transfer, no law review, hate myself.Wooster33 wrote:I am more wondering if anyone knows people who have done or has done it themselves.

Re: Semi-Pre-exam Freak Out
I just took my first final and I'm convinced I just fell below median. Now when I make a thread about dropping out due to low grades, I'll be truthful this time

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
