Nice work gaud! You too uvabro! This thread seems to be killing it so far.

I've still not managed to check if my grades are up, but I've also seen no sudden burst of traffic from my section through the FB group. That and I really don't expect anything until at least a couple weeks from now.

I keep going back and forth between really wanting to know and feeling pretty confident that I may have eeked out my goal (slightly above median) and assuming something went horribly wrong and I want to try and savor this period of ignorance before I realized I was terrible at law school.

Congrats to everyone who's gotten grades back so far, doing really well! Just under 3 weeks back until the registrar at my school is giving back grades (from what they've told us... I still check every day, though )

thanks everyone. if i got the right answer maybe id have gotten an A? it's pretty sweet. nobody understands the significance of this. i can't really tell anybody because my parents don't understand, and i'm not very popular. i was hooking up with a girl i met with a bar before i found out when i got home. i sent her a text that said holy fuck i did it blah blah, and all she texted back was what's wrong with you it's 3 am in the morning. the agony of not being able to tell anyone who understands is killing me. can i thank the professor or is that sleazy mcsleaze?

I know what you mean. I tried to explain how unlikely As are generally to a few friends and family, and I think they kind of get it. I also stopped myself once I realized that I was talking about law school to (not with) my friends and family.

Maybe go do a couple of sprints?

Got an email from my legal writing prof yesterday saying grades were in and just had to be posted, so of course I had a dream last night that I failed miserably. Sick of these grade dreams!

Got up this morning to check and surprise surprise, had two of my grades posted in other classes. Guess I should not be disappointed, did well enough, but still slightly disappointed. Is that stupid???

Um don't thank your professor for giving you an A-. That's really weird and cheapens your own hard work. Just drop in during his office hours next semester and say hi, thanks for being a great professor, I learned a lot, and you can probably use him as a reference.

Congrats, and you deserve to be happy. I know you want to shout it from the rooftops, but for the sake of your law school classmates, especially for those who didn't do as well, I would advise keeping a tight lid on your grades. Don't be known as the guy who rubbed his A- into everyone's faces.

Haha, thanks! I'm also overly critical of myself, I think I'm upset b/c I did better in a class where I had no background and had no idea what I was doing than a class where I should have had the top score b/c of my background. I did well in both classes and I'm just nitpicking about it, but I'm still disappointed. I did not in general expect to do well on my exams except for the one class, so a bit disappointed to not have gotten the top grade (well aware that this sounds arrogant, but if you knew my background plus the class subject, it would make sense).

B in Legal Writing, I greatly dislike that class.
A- in Civ Pro.
I ended up with a 3.35 the median is supposed to be right around a 3.0 so I presume I am on the cusp of top quarter or just below that. I remember when an A- in a class used to piss me off, but Law school has certainly made me appreciate B+ and A-.
