I'm aboard the same failboat, hombre. Don't sweat it too much - just be thankful for the first semester safety margin, right?
Aren't you IPSECURE?

.7? woa. You must have done pretty well last time.
Seriously. A .7 drop for me, or even like a .3 drop, and I would have considered dropping out.
.3 drop here. You can maybe see why i was so despondent earlier.
Cumulative
Same. ~0.3 cumulative, ~ 0.7 between the two semesters.

Yeah the .7 was between semesters and almost .4 cum because our lrw class was yearlong so this semester had more weight.

Our LRW was year-long too (with fall grades being reported as "IP" and thus weighted into spring grades), and in that class I feel lucky I got a B. That was the one I was worried about being participation pwned because I missed two or three participation/"ungraded" assignments, and because I was already at about a tentative B after fall semester. I was worried I'd be middling on my spring brief and be weighted down with the participation grade.

Which is relevant because Cohen failed someone... ouch.

disclaimer: sry in advance - not sure if this is the right thread for this question (was thinking "class rank calculator" but this thread seems more active)...
where are you guys getting the mean/median 1L GPA for your school? i found some info from NALP re: top X% and associated GPAs. however, that is for graduates and not 1L. thus, is this a good indicator of class rank or not really?

If your school does not rank in any way, you're gonna have a hell of a time. My school doesn't. But look at it this way:
At my school half the people in each class or a few more get a B+, so the median student will have 4 Bs (3.0) and 4 B+s (3.3). So the median is a 3.15 or so. You can go from there somewhat.

Yikes. I didn't have her. No, actually the class I got my worst grade in was one where nothing was given out below a B-. Sadly, I was one of the seven people to get one in a class of 120.

Wow. Totally thought I failed my statutory final. Did the minimal amount of studying for that class and still got a B. Dunno WTF happened.
Oh well. Off to be a 2L summer gunner and study test-taking supplements.

I feel for you man. I am in danger of missing grade on by literally 1 spot. It feels worse than missing it by 100 spots.
Any chance some could decline LR, thus allowing you to squeak on? Or is no one that psychotic?

The grade-ons apparently went out today, so I didn't grade on (I'm assuming they accounted for rejections and all that). My only hope now is the write-on. I have a 50/50 shot of writing on. Still pissed. Fuck you, property and crim. It's amazing how much 2 Bs can tank you.

Grades were due on the 15th. Scale of 1-10, how angry do I get to be at my old-as-fuck-former-dean-of-the-school prof. who has still yet to turn in grades.
Sub-question, those at my school wanting to transfer up, how pissed do they get to be?

Less angry than I get to be at my prof who was supposed to have grades in on the 8th.

Haha, same, I put my GPA and other indicators into that calculator and it came up with a rank of 17...15 grade on. Come on transfers!
